It is, but Linux doesn't have the programs I need so I run windows. I have seen the BSOD so many times. But now I got a new PC, so there should be less of that.
in linux I can run the most windows programs include the most games, but the problem is you must be expert in virtualization and in emulation to do it.
Finaly the open source community have much better programs than the commercial market, and the only (big) problem is photoshop.
I can run photoshop under linux, but in windows run better (normally because run native and not under emulator)...
So the problem is that: linux is the best os, but the companys who product software they dont like to support...

I'm better with hardware and things that exist on the physical plane than with anything virtual or programed. So ya, there are several reasons why I like Linux, but it's easier for me to just run windows.
hmmm in reallity nothing is "physical" (inside the most big projects runs many virtual things) but you are right, the ordinary user of course is not a programer and is better all that complicated things to run at the background same like how work all the commercial programs.

Another thin is I can understand windows better than Linux, so it makes it easier for me to fix problems on my computer when I'm running windows. Like, it's easier for me to find drivers for hardware that I don't know. That and when ever I get a windows computer it decides that it's alive. I kid you not my last PC spouted something in German.
hmmm... that means you are not familiar with linux / unix systems, because the truth is linux (and all unix like systems) are very easyer to control because everything is open.
In windows you must be magician to start to enter or remove registry keys, in linux is very easy to see all your configs and to do what you like, and finaly in linux -again, if you know- is not so dangerus to make something wrong. How many times I have completely detroyed linux systems and after I repaired them again (this is impossible in windows).
About drivers, some years ago we had really problem, but now is very easy to find drivers for everything. (for tower PCs, some laptops still have problem, usualy the old-one).
I think the big problem of linux is the bad support from the companies who develop software, and especially from adobe.
